In recent years, there has been an attack on our democratic system leaving citizens less confident in elections. Laws in Texas have focused on voter fraud which rarely occurs. Our laws instead should focus on strengthening our democracy by addressing election fraud and making voting easier and more accessible to all eligible citizens who wish to vote.
- Repeal voter suppression laws like SB1 that target seniors, people of color, and working Texans
- Expand online voter registration and mail-in ballot access
- End gerrymandering, fight schemes that intend to rig elections, and support nonpartisan redistricting
- Require transparency and reporting for lobbyist influence in Austin
